DLE Veterans Day Tribute Nov. 11

DLE will be honoring our Veterans on Friday, Nov. 11, with a special tribute in their honor at 9 a.m. in the DLE Cafeteria. All Veterans are welcome to attend a reception immediately following the program. If you are coming for the special tribute, you will need to enter through the cafeteria doors on the right side of the school. Doors will open at 8:50 a.m. All students that have a veteran attending will be allowed to attend the performance and reception. All Veterans must pre-register here to attend.

This morning performance is for Veterans and their family ONLY. All other parents and guests are invited to attend the night performance at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10.

Veteran Tribute Slides Due Tomorrow!

Although the music program is performed by the 3rd Grade Class, DLE invites all students to honor a military veteran in their family or community by contributing to the Veterans Day Tribute Presentation. Students creating a PowerPoint slide to honor a veteran should download the PowerPoint file before attempting to edit, then email the finished slide to DLEVeteransDay@dlepto.org no later than Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The slides will be compiled to share school-wide during DLE’s Veterans Day Tribute Presentation on Friday, Nov. 11.

Click here for a Powerpoint template slide and instructions. Feel free to get creative and add some great pictures!

Corporate Matching for Palooza Donations

With Palooza 2022 now wrapped up, you may consider asking your company to match your recent donation!

Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they’ll request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio.

The Donald Leonetti Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a registered nonprofit group comprising parents, grandparents, teachers, and staff dedicated to improving the educational experience of all students at Leonetti Elementary School. We are committed to making Leonetti Elementary School the best place for students, teachers, staff, and parents.

We encourage you to reach out to your company and see if corporate matching is available! All the pertinent information you should need to make the request can be found below.
