We love new and returning volunteers at Donald Leonetti Elementary! The PTO offers several ways to volunteer and enrich your child's education.
No matter if you work-from-home, stay-home, or have a full-time job at the office, there are so many opportunities to give back to our Lion family.
If you would like to be a part of the Leonetti Lion network, you must first have a current, approved background check through FBISD.
FBISD Volunteer Background Check
All volunteer criminal history applications are inactivated annually after June 30th. If you wish to volunteer in Fort Bend ISD, in any capacity, you must update your online application after July 1 every year.
All applicants completing a volunteer criminal history application will receive an email with the approved or not approved status within five business days after application submission. Once cleared, you are welcome to sign up to volunteer at Leonetti Elementary!

There are many opportunities to help your child and all of the other students at Donald Leonetti Elementary. By completing this form, you’ll be added to our 2023-24 volunteer database and be the first to know when new opportunities arise. Even if you volunteered at DLE in prior years, we encourage you to re-register as the PTO is updating our active volunteer lists after the recent boundary changes. Please know that registering here doesn’t commit you to any specific role, but allows you the ability to see all options and choose what fits your schedule best. Library Helpers Needed
Our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Perez, needs our help! We need volunteers to help reshelf books and possibly help her in other areas of the library. Sign up to volunteer.
Morning Car Assistants Needed

February VIPS of the Month
Jenise Millsaps
Jenise Millsaps is the February VIPS of the Month! She currently helps with weekly PowerPoint presentations for school announcements and is a kinder room parent. Jenise’s favorite thing about DLE is the atmosphere and how welcoming all the families are. She loves to volunteer to get to know everyone and be welcoming to other families.

CONGRATULATIONS, JOSHUA JENKINS! OUR 2022-2023 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
The DLE PTO would like to congratulate Joshua Jenkins for being selected as the Leonetti VIPS (Volunteer in Public Schools) of the Year.
The DLE PTO would like to congratulate Joshua Jenkins for being selected as the Leonetti VIPS (Volunteer in Public Schools) of the Year.
He is a full-time working father of two, serves as a kindergarten room parent, leads our Retail Donation fundraising, and regularly serves on campus through Watch D.O.G.S.
Additionally, Josh is the first to step up for any volunteer request. He is so generous with his time, and puts in 100 percent effort to ensure his commitments are met. Josh will also serve on next year’s PTO board as the Publicity Coordinator.
We are so thankful to you, Josh, for your willingness to support our Lions!
