Jenn Penick has been selected as our VIP for the month of September. She is vital as the GLC/Room Parent Chair on our PTO Board, showcasing unwavering commitment to coordinating our current grade-level chairs and room parents who support our exceptional DLE teachers.

Jenn's passion for volunteering stems from her genuine affection for the people involved, including parents, children, and staff, who collaboratively create a magical environment for our kids to thrive.

In Jenn's words, “I like to stay connected with where my kiddo spends all his time, and because I really and truly love to help make our teacher’s lives easier. With everything they do for our kids, I feel it’s the least I can do.”

Stephanie Donjon

Stephanie Donjon is our VIPS of the month for August!!! We want to thank her for giving her time so graciously. Stephanie is a mom of two awesome girls and a first-year Leonetti kinder mama. 

"I love to volunteer in support of our amazing teachers and staff at DLE," Stephanie said when asked why she loves volunteering. "It's been awesome to get to know the teachers and staff so far this year. Thank you for all you do! My favorite thing about Leonetti is how welcoming and positive everyone is. The teachers and staff always have a big smile, and I can tell Leonetti is the greatest place to be!"

Library Helpers Needed
Our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Perez, needs our help! We need volunteers to help reshelf books and possibly help her in other areas of the library. Sign up to volunteer.

Morning Car Assistants Needed
We want our drop off to run smoothly with some extra help from YOU! If you have an hour to commit before getting your day started, and would like to welcome our students out of their cars, we have a volunteer opportunity for you! Sign up to volunteer.

It's that time!

Starting this week, parents and guardians are welcome to have lunch with their students on the day of the week designated by their last.

Check out the chart below to find your week day and the time your student will be eating lunch. You’ll just need to stop by the front deck to grab your visitor tag.

After the first day of school, please use the car rider driveway to drop off your child. If you must walk your child to the front door, be aware that parking is only permitted in the front parking lot. This is not a drop-off location

Updated 5th Grade Flex Space

Once again, we thank our donors for all the contributions given throughout the year. Because of your support, we knocked out another project at Leonetti Elementary! Check out the facelift in the 5th grade flex space. Our DLE PTO worked diligently with the teachers to transition this empty room to a space that accommodates flexible seating for 30 students, including lap desks! Can't wait to see this learning space in action!

Final School Store of the Year

School Store will be open during recess for all grade levels this Friday, and it’s the last chance for our Lions to shop this school year!

School Store is run by volunteers, so sign up to be a part of the fun and help run the store for two back-to-back recess periods. Click here to sign up.

School Store is cash only. Sending money in a labeled ziploc bag makes it easy for kids to bring home their new toys. It’s not a must-do, but it’s helpful for the students and volunteers!

The store may be moved to grade-level flex spaces in the event of rain.
