Stephanie’s hard work and dedication to our room parents, grade level coordinators, staff and students has been recognized all year and we are so grateful! Updated 5th Grade Flex Space

Once again, we thank our donors for all the contributions given throughout the year. Because of your support, we knocked out another project at Leonetti Elementary! Check out the facelift in the 5th grade flex space. Our DLE PTO worked diligently with the teachers to transition this empty room to a space that accommodates flexible seating for 30 students, including lap desks! Can't wait to see this learning space in action!

Final School Store of the Year

School Store will be open during recess for all grade levels this Friday, and it’s the last chance for our Lions to shop this school year!

School Store is run by volunteers, so sign up to be a part of the fun and help run the store for two back-to-back recess periods. Click here to sign up.

School Store is cash only. Sending money in a labeled ziploc bag makes it easy for kids to bring home their new toys. It’s not a must-do, but it’s helpful for the students and volunteers!

The store may be moved to grade-level flex spaces in the event of rain.

Librarian Appreciation Day

Thank you to our wonderful Librarian Ms. Perez and Librarian Assistant Ms. Hernandez for encouraging our children to be bookworms. We appreciate you!

Campus Closed to Visitors

It’s STAAR TESTING season! As a reminder, when students are testing for STAAR on the above dates, the school does not allow for any visitors or guests in the building throughout the day including lunch.

Volunteer at Shared Dreams

In conjunction with our spring Deeds for Donald Toiletry Drive, there are two dedicated volunteer day opportunities for Leonetti parents, grandparents, and neighbors to help at the Shared Dreams facility (adults only).

You may know the teachers who work with your children every day at DLE, but did you know there are paraprofessional educators on our campus who provide different kinds of support to our Lions? Each week, Paw Prints featured one of our wonderful paraprofessionals so we could get to know these important members of our school community. Thank you to all of the wonderful paraprofessionals who make a difference at DLE!

FBISD Bookapalooza Event

FBISD libraries are sponsoring their second annual BookaPalooza event on April 29, and we would like to see as many of our DLE students and families attend as possible.

This event is a fun, FREE, family-friendly event meant to support our students' love of reading. Planned activities include authors' panels, displays, games/gaming, a book fair, food trucks, and cosplay.

DLE VIPS Appreciation Breakfast

Have you given your time, in any way, throughout the school year? Leonetti Staff would like to say “Thank You” to the many volunteers who make DLE the Greatest Place to Be!

All VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) are invited to join for a light breakfast from 8:30-9 a.m. Friday, April 21, in the DLE Cafeteria. No RSVP is necessary.

Another Recess Refresh

Perhaps you heard your child squealing with excitement last week when the recess equipment was refreshed! Thanks to your awesome donations throughout the year, we are now replacing the basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, playground balls, volleyballs, and jump ropes on a monthly basis! Such an easy initiative to keep our kiddos happy!
