DLE Apex Fundraiser 2026

Get ready to Level Up, Leonetti!

Our highly anticipated spring fundraiser, the Leonetti Lion Obstacle Course Fun Run, officially kicks off on Tuesday, January 27. This initiative is facilitated by Apex Leadership Co., who will be joining us on campus over the next two weeks to help students build leadership habits that empower them to grow, lead, and rise through challenges.  This year’s theme, “Level Up Your Leadership,” will come to life through daily character lessons and awards from the Apex team as students learn what it takes to be a true leader.

How To Register

Apex will kick off our event with a high-energy virtual pep rally on Tuesday, January 27, and pledging will open immediately after! Your child will come home with a free lanyard that includes a QR code with information on how to register at MyApexEvent.com.

Incentives

Students will be working to earn fun homeroom incentives from Apex as donations come in over the next two weeks—including extra recess, popcorn parties, and donut days.

Apex will also offer prizes based on donation levels.

The Obstacle Course : What It Is, Volunteers, What to Wear

The fundraiser concludes with an obstacle course fun run on Friday, February 6, featuring six inflatable obstacles arranged along a looped course. Each grade level will have the opportunity to run the course during their outclass period, and we expect most students to complete the course six or seven times.

In the two weeks leading up to race day, students will ask family, friends and neighbors to sponsor them.  Supporters may give a flat donation or pledge a dollar amount per obstacle completed (for example, 6 laps x 6 obstacles per lap = 36 obstacles completed).  Students who are unable to run will have 30 obstacles recorded so that donors’ pledges will not be lost for that student.

Event Day Schedule

What to Wear and Bring

All students are asked to wear their grade level colored DLE shirt provided by our PTO at the beginning of the year and tennis shoes. Please make sure to send your student to school with a water bottle.

Volunteers Needed

We’re looking for volunteers to help mark the obstacles completed by our students during the Fun Run! Volunteer shifts will take place during each grade level’s outclass period, and we’ll need 15 volunteers per grade level to help keep things running smoothly.

A SignUpGenius link will be coming soon!

All volunteers must have a current background check on file. No exceptions will be made. This process is quick and may be completed here

Your Donations at Work

Funds raised during the two-week event will support the creation of a dedicated on-campus sensory room equipped with therapeutic tools that support focus, self-control, and readiness for learning. Additional funds will provide support for field trips, teacher grants, classroom subscriptions, and other enrichment programs that enhance student learning and engagement.
