Back to School Checklist
The start of the new school year is just around the corner, so now is the time to catch up on some housekeeping items. Whether you are a current DLE family or you are new to Donald Leonetti Elementary and Fort Bend ISD, here is your Back to School Checklist:
Skyward Family Access
Is your contact information up to date? Log in to Family Access to ensure you’re receiving communications from DLE and FBISD.
Lunch Account
FBISD uses School Cafe to manage meal accounts. Create an account to make payments, set purchase restrictions, or apply for free or reduced lunches.
Sign Up For Paw Prints
Make sure you're signed up for our Paw Prints weekly newsletter! It's your go-to source for the latest DLE news, upcoming events, important announcements, and more—delivered right to your inbox.
Dismissal Tag Pick Up
DLE is offering early pick-up times for families to receive their dismissal tags. Every student, regardless of their dismissal mode, will receive a dismissal number and tag.
Benefits of picking up your dismissal tag early include:
Early Teacher Notification: Find out your child's teacher ahead of time. If you're unable to pick up the tag early, you will be notified of your child's homeroom placement at a later date.
Time to Memorize: More time for parents to help their child remember their dismissal number. Once students remember their number, the car line will move faster.
Support Staff: Helping the campus by providing staff more time to finalize dismissal rosters
Carpool Efficiency: The ability to consolidate carpool riders to one single number.
Early Pick-Up Times at the DLE Gym:
Thursday, July 31: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Thursday, July 31: 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Complete your FBISD Background Check NOW!
If you are considering volunteering at DLE during the 2025-26 school year, you must have a current approved background check in the district system. All volunteers are required to update their background check after July 1 each year. This applies to everything from helping in the library, assisting at a class party, attending field trips and more.
Don't wait until the last minute! Complete yours now!
Yearbook Pickup Reminder
Just a friendly reminder that yearbooks will be delivered sometime this month just as we’ve advertised all year!
Once they’ve arrived:
• An email will be sent to the email address used when purchasing your yearbook.
• We’ll also post pickup details here on social media.
If any extra yearbooks are available, we’ll make an announcement. These will be sold first come, first served during the scheduled distribution days.Thank you for your patience and support!
Stay Connected on Facebook
With the school year winding down, be sure you stay connected to your DLE Lion family over the summer by following your child’s grade-level Facebook page(s). Join the page for your child’s current grade level; each page’s name will change for the 2025-26 school year by June 1.
