Come enjoy a cool treat while reconnecting with friends, meeting new Lion families, and getting excited for another fantastic year at DLE. Whether you're new to our school or a returning family, we'd love to see you there!
If yearbooks arrive in time, they will also be available for pick up during the event. Additional pick up opportunities will be announced if needed.
We can't wait to welcome everyone back and celebrate the start of a great school year together!

**If you pre-ordered your student's supplies through 1st Day School Supplies, they will be waiting in the classroom for Meet the Teacher on August 6**

We’re excited to share that we expect our 2026–2027 DLE Yearbooks to arrive during the last week of July!
If the yearbooks arrive in time, we plan to distribute all pre-ordered yearbooks at Sawmill Social on Thursday, July 30, from 5:00–6:30 p.m. We’ll keep everyone updated if anything changes.
If you aren’t able to make Sawmill Social, or if the yearbooks arrive later than expected, don’t worry. We’ll schedule additional opportunities for families to pick up their pre-ordered yearbooks once they arrive. Be sure to watch your email and our Facebook page for the latest updates and pickup information.
We’ll have a limited number of extra yearbooks available for purchase. Extras will be be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
We can’t wait for everyone to relive the memories from an amazing school year!
Complete your FBISD Background Check NOW!
If you are considering volunteering at DLE during the 2026-27 school year, you must have a current approved background check in the district system. All volunteers are required to update their background check after July 1 each year. This applies to everything from helping in the library, assisting at a class party, attending field trips and more.
Don't wait until the last minute! Complete yours now! (You will get a confirmation via email once your background check is approved)
