VOLUNTEER FOR SPECIAL EVENTS
General Help Needed: Laminating, cutting, bulletin boards, and more! In order to use the laminating machine, an adult volunteer MUST be already trained. We will notify when we have more laminator trainings. Sign-up to volunteer Here
DLE Book Fair: The DLE Book Fail is approaching and Mrs. Perez needs you! There are many dates and times available for helping, so please sign up where you can assist! Sign-up here.
School Store: On Oct. 18, help is needed in the School Store during lunches. Sign-Up here.
Readers Needed: We need volunteers to read for one hour a week with a teacher and 3 to 4 students. Our goal is to have one volunteer for each teacher in Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade. We have 30 percent of our slots filled thanks to those who have signed up, but we need more help. Volunteers are required to attend one district GPS training session, as well as the on-campus training at DLE. The next available GPS session is Oct. 16. register here. Attend DLE training on campus with Literacy Interventionist Cynthia Dremely from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Oct. 18. Volunteers also must complete a FBISD background check. You can do so here.
Dads on Campus: Looking for men to help on campus throughout the year for 1/2 the school day in various ways. This is a great way for our students to see positive role models in action. Sign-up here.
